Pregnancy Yoga for Relaxation

While pregnant, like most first time mums I was busy rushing around trying to get everything ready for our little ones arrival - handover notes for work, the nursery, the house purchase! I even decided that at 7 months pregnant it was the perfect time to further my training and complete 65 hours Prenatal Yoga teacher training in London. I didn't want to take the time to stop. It was 9 months of go go go.

Attending Pregnancy Yoga classes gave me the time and space to relax and connect with my growing baby. It calmed my whirring mind and helped me to feel relaxed and confident about the birth of our little girl. Often we might think about the benefits of pregnancy yoga as merely physical but it can be so much more than that. If you're feeling anxious about your pregnancy or birth then prenatal yoga might help you to find some meditative peace in this busy world. It's amazing to be able to take an indulgent hour to focus on yourself and your growing bump.

My mum explained that when she was pregnant with me she used to take a long bath to ease her aching muscles,  and read a book about the different stages of pregnancy, while carefully resting it on her growing bump. She took this time to look after herself and connect with her baby. She relaxed.  That's what I hope you'll gain from a pregnancy class with me. The opportunity to truly feel calm and immerse yourself in your pregnancy.

If you'd like to book a pregnancy yoga class in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, then the timetable can be found here. I am currently on Maternity Leave with baby number 2 but will be back with Pregnancy Yoga Workshops in June 2019.
